Excellent location for a quick and filling meal. They had garlic butter fries on the side, which we also ordered. The dazzling sidewinder fries came with a jalapeo cream dipping sauce and were seasoned to perfection. The sauce had a kick to it, but I didn’t find it to be overly spicy. Be sure to eat these fries! They are crisp, meaty, and have a curly shape that makes them the ideal food for dipping into sauces to cover every crevice.

Roostar is probably my favorite restaurant in Houston – I grab it to go anytime I’m in Spring Branch. Their Bahn Mis have won competitions and it’s easy to see why! I love the tofu Bahn Mi.
I have noticed a smell from the grease trap lately but it’s not so strong that you can’t sit to eat there.

The rice bowls are super yummy. The meat is always very tender, the rice is fluffy, and you can mix it together with the salad for some crunchy veggies. I also recommend the jalapeño cilantro ranch!
