Tiger Temple
OVERRATED
It was OVERRATED … I wasn’t expecting the restaurant to be a 3-star Michelin eatery or anything close to what I’ve eaten at similar restaurants back in STATES but it was still disappointing. I had 3 PRAWNS in my RED CURRY PRAWN and NO BAMBOO SHOOTS either. Just a lot of WATERY CURRY. The RICE was definitely STALE. I couldn’t take more than one bite and threw it away. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Nice Place
We were excited to try Thai food at Tiger Temple and it lived up to our expectations. For starters, we tried the Taiwanese Fried Chicken Bao which were served as 4 pieces of fried, crispy goodness with slaw on top. For our main, we ordered the Pad Thai which is good for two to share. It’s very mild but delicious, a great option for kids as well.
9.5 out of 10
My son is a picky eater and he rated the Indonesian nasi goreng 9.5 out of 10, and I can’t agree more. I loved the Burmese crispy noodle with coconut milk and its prawn dumplings. The restaurant offers various signature dishes from South East Asia including Thai and some Chinese food. Good portion for sharing as mentioned in the menu. One of the best restaurants in Islamabad so far.
