menu was wonderful
The lunch prix fixe menu was wonderful. The first course was delicious milk bread and handmade Normandy butter. Our appetizers were teak tartare, crispy potatoes, and a tarte flambée. We had delicious duck with radicchio and cherry mostarda and sea bass with charred broccoli and fennel broth for entrees. We also enjoyed several delicious cocktails.
We got the kitchen table at the Modern and it was great. We had to enter the actual kitchen and there was a separate table for us. The staffs and servers were very friendly and cooks even said we can ask any questions. The technique of the dishes was 100% and everything was delicious but I’m giving 3 stars for creativity of those dishes. Although they were very good, nothing really blow our minds away.
Wonderful experience. Classy, innovative, high quality. Everything you would expect from a Michelin star tasting menu + more. Friendly and knowledgeable staff (wine pairing). Hate ruining the experience with photos but here are a few.
Celebrated Wife’s birthday at the restaurant.
We were in the Bar room. Overall a good restaurant and good food and portion size. The food options on the menu is not vegetarian friendly as there were only 4 choices and both the mains were mushroom based. The desert didn’t impress. The octopus was amazing and cocktails were decent.
What a great dining experience this was. The tasting menu was made vegan for me and I had an exquisite series of dishes brought out. This is a great setting and a the service was outstanding. I was there for business and the experience was so good that I felt bad that I didn’t have my wife with me. At least I know where I can take her next time I’m going to the city and it’s a special night
