GJ Tavern

Great dinner spot! We got the charred broccolini and crispy duck fat potatoes as starters. They were both amazing! I got the pork chop and it was so delicious. My husband got the burger and loved it. Can’t wait to go back again! Everyone there was so nice and provided excellent and fast service.

GJ Tavern is a restaurant that should be in your go-to list! Well-situated near Market Square Park in Houston, TX, the food is good and the service is very accommodating ((seriously, I appreciate it!)). Our server last night (Cinco De Mayo) was a good man! We look forward to coming back here!

What a wonderful dinner experience. Tia delivered the best service you can imagine – incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, suggesting cocktails and wines, and apologetic the one time she forgot something. Every dish was delicious, from the mushroom cavatelli to the pork chop to the steak to the burger. The food arrived quickly, but not so much that we felt rushed. Atmosphere was cool and location is smack dab in the middle of all the action – walkable to theaters, bars, etc. I highly recommend!
